    Pushback Rack in Norwood, OH

Most Norwood warehouses have more storage in the building than the floor plan shows. A pushback rack layout pulls pallets up into unused clear height and out of the aisles, so the same four walls hold more product without another lease.

Because lanes two to six pallets deep served from a single aisle, we start with the storage math: how many positions the footprint can carry, and what that does to picking speed. You get a layout, a real position count, and line-item pricing before anything is ordered. Call (513) 957-3017.

Why Norwood Warehouses Work With Us

Buildings around Smith Road and the Norwood Lateral corridor are rarely uniform. Column spacing, dock aprons, and usable height differ enough from one to the next that a layout copied from another site wastes positions.

As part of Warehouse Equipment & Supplies Co., we have been designing storage for printing and converting and small-batch manufacturing operators here since 1997. That history is why our first layout is usually close to the final one.

Being local matters on the small things too: short delivery runs, quick answers on a revision, and parts on hand when a lift truck clips a frame.

    How Pushback Rack Works

Store two to six pallets deep from one aisle without giving up much selectivity.

    1

    Loading

The driver sets the first pallet on the front cart. Each additional pallet pushes the cart train deeper into the lane, so one aisle serves the whole depth.

    2

    Nested carts on rails

Steel carts with nylon or steel wheels roll on inclined rails. Each cart nests under the one in front of it, which is what makes multi-deep storage possible in one bay.

    3

    Retrieval

Pull the front pallet and gravity rolls the next cart forward to the pick face. No driving into the structure and no repositioning by hand.

    4

    LIFO flow

Last in, first out per lane. That fits fast-moving product and anything where rotation is managed by lane rather than by individual pallet.

What a Pushback Rack Project Includes

A Norwood pushback rack project starts with a phone call, not a sales visit. We go through pallet footprint and weight, forklift type and lift height, clear height under sprinklers, column spacing, and how fast product turns.

Then you get the drawing: pallet positions, beam or rail elevations, aisle centerlines, and total capacity, priced line by line. We often show two versions of the same footprint — cart and rail assemblies matched to your pallet weight — so you can compare storage against throughput before choosing.

Delivery is coordinated around your schedule, and installation partners build to the approved drawing, anchor every frame, and confirm the system performs loaded before turning it over. Work is phased so the operation keeps running, and expansions, teardowns, and relocations are handled by the same team later on.
