Pallet rack rows in a warehouse ready for relocation

    Warehouse Relocation in Cincinnati, OH

When a business moves buildings, the rack is usually the hardest part to move. Our warehouse relocation service takes down, labels, moves and reinstalls pallet rack and storage systems, and draws the new building before a single bolt comes out.

Most moves here go between very different buildings: an 18 to 26 ft clear plant in Queensgate or Sharonville into a 32 to 40 ft clear bulk building in West Chester, Hebron or the Dayton airport parks. The rack you own has to be replanned, not just carried over.

    What the Relocation Covers

Six steps, one contact from the first count to the last anchor in the new building.

    1

    Inventory the rack you own

We count and identify every frame, beam, wire deck and accessory, note the style and capacity, and flag damaged pieces that should not be reinstalled.

    2

CAD layout for the new building

The new floor plan rarely matches the old one. We draw your existing rack into the new space, showing position counts, aisles and where extra rack is needed.

    3

Fit check for the new building

We check the new clear height, column spacing and aisle widths against your rack and forklifts, and flag any beams or frames that need replacing.

    4

    Teardown and labeling

Crews take the rack down row by row and label components so they go back up in the right place at the right capacity.

    5

    Transport coordination

We coordinate trucks and loading so components arrive at the new dock in the order the install crew needs them.

    6

    Reinstall and add new rack

Rack goes back up to the new layout, with new frames, beams or other systems added wherever the old inventory falls short.

Moving Between Old and New Buildings Here

Greater Cincinnati has a large stock of newer tilt-wall and precast buildings along the I-75 north corridor, around Union Centre Boulevard, and in the Boone County logistics hub near CVG. It also has older multi-story plants in Norwood, Evendale, Hamilton and Middletown. Companies moving from one type to the other gain clear height and lose the column grid they designed around.

That is why the layout comes first. We place your existing frames and beams into the new floor plan, show how many pallet positions they produce at the new height, and point out where taller frames, extra beam levels, or a different system such as pushback would add more storage.

We also check that beam capacities still fit your pallet weights. A move is a good time to re-rate levels, replace bent components, and retire mismatched pieces collected over the years.

Fitting Rack Into a New Building

The new building rarely matches the old one. A move from an 18 ft clear plant in Queensgate to a 32 ft clear bulk building in West Chester changes frame heights, beam levels and how high your forklifts need to reach.

Whether you are landing in Covington, Florence, Erlanger or Hebron, we measure column spacing and aisle widths, check beam capacity against your current loads, and lay out rows so existing rack is reused wherever it fits. Our team handles the permit side for you, on either side of the river.

Timing the Move Around Weather and Shipping

Most warehouses here are unheated or lightly heated, and snow and ice affect docks, trucks and crew days in winter. We build that into the schedule instead of assuming a clear week.

Your trucks still need to roll during the move. We plan teardown and reinstall in phases so part of the new building is ready to receive before the old one is empty.

How We Differ from General Warehouse Movers

Warehouse moving companies are good at moving inventory and equipment. Our focus is the storage system itself. Many clients hire a mover for product and machinery and have us handle the rack, and we coordinate dates so both crews are not fighting for the same dock.
